This year it will include a Drag Queen Contest
Councillor Eduardo Dolon together with Julio Ruiz, president of the ‘Asociacion Cultural Carnival de Torrevieja’ presented the programme of events for this year’s Carnival, which is due to take place between January 24 and February 22 and includes, for the first time, a ‘drag queen’ competition. This inaugural competition will take place on January 30, at the Torrevieja Municipal Theatre, at 9:30pm. There will be a 1,000 euro first prize, a 500 euro second and 250 euro third. The well-known ‘Miss Caelum Drag Queen’ will make an appearance at the contest.
