John Mark Karr, arrested in Thailand last week in connection with the 1996 murder of 6-year-old JonBenet Ramsey, recently visited a sex reassignment surgery clinic in Bangkok.
Dr. Setthakarn Atakonpan said he saw the 41-year-old Karr four different times between March and July of this year. He said that Karr’s sideburns and hair under his chin were permanently removed by lasers in “preparation for a sex change operation.”
A quick Internet search reveals several Web sites of Bangkok doctors offering myriad cosmetic surgeries, including sex change procedures.
