Drag pageant opens doors to different tastes for different folks

Dressed in a top hat and bow tie, Randy Marshall stands inside the Lookout Bar looking excited and nervous. She’s about to take the stage to compete for the title of Mr. Capital Pride in the 17th annual Capital Pride pageant.

While men have dressed as women to compete for the title of Miss Capital Pride for the last 17 years, it was only last year that the pageant added a category for drag kings. And it’s something that Randy says makes her feel proud.
