The Denver mayoral race shifted – at least for a day – to a kinder, gentler place Thursday, as Chris Romer and Michael Hancock put aside political rhetoric and used a pair of forums to listen to concerns from oft-ignored constituents and give their ideas on making Denver a world-class city.
The day began at the Gathering Place, a refuge for women, children and transgender people and their children who often experience homelessness and poverty.
