Alameda County judge’s race offers voters two distinct candidates

Oakland — The race to fill a seat on the Alameda County Superior Court bench offers voters two distinct choices and it’s not only because one of the candidates is transgender.

Deputy District Attorney John Creighton and Victoria Kolakowski, an administrative law judge for the California Public Utilities Commission, have different opinions on what qualifications are necessary to become a judge and what the bench currently needs in a judge.
