Growing festival: Popular drag queen will be grand marshal at gay pride celebration
Capital City Pride Festival
What: Olympia’s 19th annual parade and festival hosted by and for the area’s gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and allied community and its supporters. The party includes music, speakers, a drag performance, vendors and children’s activities.
When: Parade is at noon Sunday; the festival runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday
Where: The festival is in Sylvester Park in downtown Olympia. The parade begins on the Capitol steps, heads north on Capitol Way, turns east on Fourth Avenue and then heads south on Franklin Avenue and to the park…
