In a former warehouse for tow trucks, on an unprepossessing block of Bond Street in Brooklyn, a dance Eden grows.
The emerging choreographer Austin McCormick, a Juilliard graduate, produced the much-praised “Judgment of Paris” in March 2008 at this address, and with his troupe, Company XIV, he continues his ascent with “Le Serpent Rouge!” This theater-dance hybrid, a lush rumination on temptation, infuses its subject with a heady blend of baroque elegance and contemporary snap.
