Holding hearings around the state, the Massachusetts Democratic Party is busy gathering input for its 2009 platform. With a goal of making the platform as “inclusive and transparent as possible” the Party is asking registered Democrats from across the state to hold “issue based hearings.” On March 11, the Bay State Stonewall Democrats invited Democrats to testify about LGBT issues they would like to see addressed in the Democratic Party Platform.

“Putting something in the platform doesn’t make change but it says we want that change and we will work to that change,” Claire Naughton, co-chair of the Stonewall Democrats said.
