Stony Point – An annual weekend retreat that provides high school students with an opportunity to discuss such issues as bullying, sexual health and support for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth will be held this month.
The 11th annual Common Threads Youth Empowerment Retreat, organized by the New City-based Community Awareness Network for a Drug-free Life and Environment, will bring the students and their adult advisers together Jan. 16 to 18 at the Stony Point Center to tackle tough issues that the students may face in their lives.
