Edmonton – The second annual Exposure Queer Arts and Culture Festival starts Friday, giving Edmontonians a chance to explore and celebrate all the different aspects of queer culture and queer contributions through the arts.

Festival producer Ted Kerr says the eclectic and event-packed nine-day-long festival has “everything from visual arts exhibits to theatre productions to dance parties, as well as a special festival focus this year on the transgender experience.”

Running from Friday to Saturday, Nov. 22, the festival will be launched by the 17-year-old, Darrin Hagen-hosted Loud & Queer Cabaret, one of the longest-running events of its kind in Canada. It happens at La Cite Francophone, 8627 91st St., Friday at 7:30 p.m.
