The Frederick, Montgomery and Prince George’s county branches of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People are joining forces to address health care issues affecting African Americans and other minorities in the tri-county area.

The event, to be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Montgomery College in Takoma Park, will focus on providing assistance with gaining access to medical care, as well as offering screenings to help individuals prevent illness, according to a NAACP press release.
