Clinton, MS (WLBT) – Gay rights activists are met with defiance from administrators at Mississippi College. Soulforce visited the campus last year and are back again with a message of acceptance for gay and transgender students. College officials say the will not let the group push their agenda on school grounds.
“I will not continue to cause myself to suffer any longer,” reads 16 members of Soulforce. The gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender equality workers read a letter they say is written by a gay Mississippi College student. The alienation and name calling described is just what the the group is working to change.
