Transsexual social activist Jamie Lee Hamilton is filing a human-rights complaint against Vancouver’s Non-Partisan Association after it rejected her as a parks board candidate.

Hamilton said two interviews with NPA board members focused on her sexual orientation and lifestyle.

“I felt like my lifestyle was being interrogated and that I was somehow immoral,” said Hamilton, who has lobbied for years on behalf of sex workers and Downtown Eastside residents.
