A world premiere by U.S. dramatist Christopher Shinn and the European preem of Tarell Alvin McCraney’s “Wig Out!” lead the fall season at the Royal Court, London’s leading venue for new writing.
Running Sept. 3-Oct. 8, “Now Or Later” is set on the night of the U.S. election, with a fictional Democrat president-elect facing a sudden crisis over the revelation of his son’s sexuality. Commissioned and helmed by the theater’s a.d. Dominic Cooke, this is Shinn’s fifth play to be presented at the Court. It follows the playwright’s “Dying City,” which transferred to Lincoln Center in 2007.
