SFBayTimes.com – By Sister Dana Van Iquity
Since Midnight Mass is going to celebrate its tenth anniversary this Friday the 13th, it would be very unlucky if I didn?t interview the creator of Midnight Mass, Peaches Christ. So here we go!
Sister Dana: When did you first know you were a drag queen? An actress?
Peaches: Funny you should ask both of those questions back-to-back like that, because Peaches made her world debut while acting in full, gloriously tragic ?first-time drag? for a senior thesis film directed by my alter-ego Joshua Grannell. The film was called Jizzmopper: A Love Story. I had actually studied improv theatre previous to that and so drag was really a perfect vehicle for re-using a character and making her recognizable.
Also, I love the smell of hairspray.
