Knoxville – The American Civil Liberties Union will not drop its lawsuit against Knox County Schools until it receives assurances that educational Web sites about lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues won’t be blocked again, a spokeswoman said today.

District Superintendent Jim McIntyre announced Wednesday that the filtering software blocking such sites was not in compliance with the school system’s policy. The Internet service provider ENA made “technical adjustments,” he said, and the sites will now be available at schools.
