PrideSource.com – Project Healthy Living
On Saturday, May 9, Affirmations, the LGBT community center in Ferndale, will host its seventh annual health fair as a Project Healthy Living site. The free event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is open to the public. Participants will be able to receive an array of free or very low-cost health services and screenings.
Project Healthy Living, an effort of the United Health Organization, has been hosting health fairs in Michigan for over 40 years as part of their effort to provide health services and tests to those without access to health care. This year, they will host sites in six counties over the dates of May 15 through 30, plus several bonus sites, including the one at Affirmations.
