We first spot Maria Kogan in the movie “Play in the Gray” wearing a platinum-blond mullet wig, prancing around the streets of Provincetown, Mass., playing a toy saxophone. Someone observing her might think she is a man, a very silly man.
But that’s intentional. Kogan and her colleagues in All the Kings Men, which calls itself “a drag-based theater troupe dedicated to challenging the confines of gender identity,” are on the street drumming up business for their live comedy show.
