New Port Richey – The zany bedroom farce, My Husband’s Wild Desires Almost Drove Me Mad, was the big winner in the Richey Suncoast Theatre’s audience-chosen awards, the Tommys, named for 1930s movie star Thomas Meighan, for whom the original movie house was named.

Wild Desires took six of the 13 awards, including the coveted Favorite Show of the 2008-09 Season. It featured the burly Jim Poe as Mr. Griffin, a cross-dressing husband who loves to watch his sugary-sweet wife, played by Linda Luckenbach, as she makes love to strangers. Poe won for Favorite Supporting Actor in a Comedy, and Ms. Luckenbach won for Favorite Lead Actress in a Comedy.
