After 18 month of meetings, the city police liaison committee with lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities held a queer town hall meeting Monday night to hear from the larger community.

Held at the Peterborough Public Library, the town hall meeting attracted about 50 people who all sat in a large circle and discussed the issues.

While hate crime and hate speech remain major concerns for the LGBT community, issues such as language and officer sensitivity is where the focus is shifting.
