Kuala Lumpur: Two senior police officers were nabbed by Anti-Corruption Agency officers on suspicion of accepting a bribe to secure the release of a transvestite.
The two officers — an assistant superintendent and a sergeant — were picked up from their offices at the Dang Wangi district police headquarters on Friday evening.

Federal Territory ACA director Abu Zubir Mahfodz said the officers were being investigated over a RM2,000 bribe.

It is learnt that the transvestite was nabbed several days earlier on allegation of offering sex.

The 46-year-old ASP and 48-year-old sergeant then allegedly contacted the transvestite’s friend.
