Bonita Springs: A Bonita Springs man was arrested after deputies say he assaulted his girlfriend and then created a story to cover it up.
Christopher Todd Reich, 41, Bonita Springs, was charged with Battery to Cause Bodily Harm.
Shortly after 11:30 p.m. Sunday, deputies responded to 27653 Riverdale Lane, Bonita Springs, after he called the Lee County Sheriff’s Office to report that he and his live-in transsexual girlfriend, Jamie Bowman, were the victims of a home invasion robbery in which they were beaten with a baseball bat, according to a sheriff’s report.
