The Atelier Gallery, operated by the Griffin Museum of Winchester and located in Stoneham Theatre, is offering a unique exhibit this month that may raise some eyebrows. The exhibit, “Hudson Valley of the Dolls,” is a series of photographs by former exotic dancer, Charise Isis, that catalogue a group of performance drag queens out of the Hudson Valley, N.Y., area.

The exhibit is on display now at the Atelier, and runs through Oct. 18, with an artist’s reception Oct. 5. “Pageant” will be performed now through Oct. 5. An additional event, “Out Night at Stoneham Theatre,” offers GLBT community members the chance to meet “Pageant’s” creative team for a post-show reception on Sept 13.

The Atelier Gallery, under Griffin Museum control for the first year, is open Tuesday through Saturday, 1-6 p.m., and for one hour before each theatre performance.
