Hundreds of students and visitors packed the University Union Thursday night to watch students strut up and down the runway dressed in drag.
The event, sponsored by the Queer Student Union and supported by local bars and restaurants, was supposed to be held in two of the three Chesapeake Rooms, but the large crowd caused it to spill over into the third.
“We had to turn students away because the turnout was so big,” Christopher Snider, co-president of QSU, said.
The show opened with drag queen “Karmella” lip syncing to Cassie’s “Me and You” while dancing and welcoming dollar bills with an open button-downed shirt. Lap dances and booty shaking were given in return.
