From May 31 to June 4, the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transsexual (LGBT) community of the Greek capital will be celebrating Athens Pride, which culminates in a parade on the final day at central Klafthmonos Square.
A series of events have been organized to raise awareness among the general public and to lobby for equal rights under the law, starting on Tuesday, May 31, with a performance at 5 p.m. in front of the University of Athens on Panepistimiou Street titled “20 People and a Lesbian: A Public Opera,” written, directed and performed by Chrysa Tzabazi.
