The mother of a gay man who died after a fight in the Castro last year is blasting a decision by the San Francisco District Attorney’s office this week not to refile manslaughter and assault charges against her son’s killer, Kyle Adams.
“This person has all the rights,” Cathy Smith said of Adams. “My son has none.”
Meanwhile, in her first jailhouse interview, Adams, who now identifies as transgender and uses the given name London, told the Bay Area Reporter this week that she was a victim who was forced to act in self-defense.
