After Eric Hinson moved to Greensboro 10 years ago, he realized that he was missing something.
Both of the cities he had lived in before – Charlotte and Knoxville, Tenn. – had gay-pride festivals. Greensboro didn?t.
?I really wanted to have Pride here, too,? he said.
Starting this year, he will.
Hinson is the chairman of the Triad Pride Festival, which will run next Thursday through Aug. 26 at venues in Winston-Salem and Greensboro. He hopes that Triad Pride will become an annual parade.
