A diverse crowd of 25 gathered on the second floor of the United South End Settlements (USES) building on May 18 to discuss the beginnings of what will eventually become the first documented history of Boston’s transgender community. The meeting, organized by the History Project, brought transgender, LGB and straight community members together to discuss the importance of telling the history of Boston’s transgender community. Among those in attendance were students, professionals, and History Project board members.
