Apply the foundation. Then, apply a little lipstick and don’t forget the eyelashes. Finally, tuck, wrap and shimmy into that gown. That’s how it was for me several months ago as I donned a red wig that made me appear to be seven-feet tall and took my first steps onto a stage performing in drag. It was for charity, but I must say I had a wonderful time finding my inner-drag queen. After it was all said and done, I found a new respect for the art of drag and for wearing heels. My ankles still hurt and it’s been months.
