The fight over trans women at Michigan Women?s Festival only divides us and needs to end.
For more than a decade, the Michigan Women?s Music Festival has barred transgender women from attending, thanks to a ?womyn-born- womyn? policy.
This has led to years of protests by trans activists, leading to the MWMF Camp Trans counter event. Camp Trans has become such a fixture outside the festival that it?s hard to even imagine any new development worth noting.
So color me surprised when a Camp Trans press release hit the wires, announcing ?Michigan Women?s Music Festival ends policy of discrimination against Transwomen.?
