Local young person’s arts group, The Moston Active Drama Group (MAD), is celebrating record sales for performances of its latest play, She’s Just Nipped Out For Fags, running at the Library Theatre until Saturday.
She’s Just Nipped Out For Fags follows on from the success of last year’s prodiction, ASBO, and is a story about the men in a Harpurhey family bringing up the kids after the mum just “nips out for fags” and doesn’t return.
MAD was formed more than 10 years ago, aimed at getting young people from the area and from disadvantaged backgrounds, involved in theatre.
