New York – Going from Victor Creed-Sabretooth to Vilma is quite a switch, but that’s what Liev Schreiber accomplishes in director Ang Lee’s “Taking Woodstock.”
Playing a drag queen-security guard named Vilma, Liev wears shoulder-length blonde hair and women’s clothes, but with the biceps he built from “Wolverine.” The contrast works as Liev, aided by the director of such masterpieces as “Brokeback Mountain” and “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon,” essays an ex-Marine who’s comfortable being a transvestite.
