Lifes a drag – And, man, is it a show

Of course, the Rochester Girls, Inc. isn’t exactly a typical business.

Many of the “girls” aren’t girls at all, but men who dress in women’s clothing to perform “drag” shows. Conventional drag shows feature performers who are often, though not always, gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgendered. Entertainers may be female or male impersonators (drag queens or kings, respectively), transgender persons, women who dress as an exaggerated example of femininity or even those who wish to perform simply as they are.
