The Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition (MTPC) will hold a training Sept. 20 for supporters to learn how to testify before the legislature?s Judiciary Committee for an expected hearing this fall on House Bill 1722, which would make the state?s non-discrimination and hate crimes laws transgender-inclusive.
?We?re going to give specific training on how to give testimony at a hearing, both how to give it verbally as well as if you?re going to be submitting it [in writing], how to do that,? said MTPC co-chair Gunner Scott. He said the training will also include information on how to lobby lawmakers in support of the bill.
