A man has been convicted of unlawfully killing a transvestite during sex.

The 47-year-old victim died after gay sex at Steven Boyd’s home in Wallasey.

A Liverpool Crown Court jury took just an hour and a half to find Boyd guilty of the manslaughter of Warrington man David Currie.

Remanding him in custody until October 19 to enable pre-sentence and medical reports to be prepared Judge Gerald Clifton warned him that he faces a custodial sentence.

During the trial the court heard that the victim arrived at Boyd’s home in Stanley Avenue in the early hours of March 29 this year.
