Iowa City – A new community-based gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender magazine will soon hit shelves.
“Outlook” is launching tonight in Iowa City. It features resources for the gay community as well as articles about politics, religion and lifestyle issues.
The magazine will come out twice a year but that wasn’t the original intention. Editor Carlton Blackburn says, “Once a year was our plan but feedback was so amazing we increased it to twice a year and doubled the size of the magazine as well.”
Tonight, there will be a launch party for outlook. It?s at 7p.m. on the 13th floor of the Plaza Towers. A suggested donation of $20 will be taken at the door.
“Outlook” will be available at gay friendly establishments throughout Iowa City on Tuesday.
