RE “SOME Democrats want to add panel seats based on sexual ID”’ (Metro, April 23): As cochairs of the Bay State Stonewall Democrats, a caucus for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community within the Democratic Party, we want to make the following points in response to the State House News Service article.
Through of one of our members, we presented the proposed charter amendments, which would add two bisexual and two transgender seats to the Democratic State Committee. The charter committee voted to accept the proposed amendments and present them to the state convention in June. This is established procedure.
