New Your, N.Y. — A Queens cop was wounded when he waded into an ugly battle between a transsexual and her lover yesterday and a gun accidentally discharged, authorities said.
Officer Rodney Lewis, a 4 1/2-year veteran in the 104th Precinct who was responding with his partner to the domestic dispute, was struck just above his bulletproof vest at about 5 a.m. in a struggle with the gunman, Edwin Santana, in front of 1812 Menahan St. in Ridgewood, police said.
