Drag queen’s weekly show at Rumors sings song of unity and community
Drag queen Betty Desire has been performing “The Betty Desire Show” at Rumors Cabaret in Bellingham every Wednesday night for more than 12 years, canceling only two performances in all that time. Her shows usually include Desire singing several songs, introducing new audience members and hosting games for audience members to play. In addition to being a performer, Desire considers herself a community activist.
