Red Rocks Community College is throwing a “Coming Out Party” for its new GLBT (Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgender) Resource Center, which opened its doors this week to the campus and the surrounding community. The celebration will be held over two days: Tuesday, Sept. 19, noon to 2 p.m. and Wednesday, Sept. 20, from 5 to 7 p.m. College officials will be on hand for ribbon-cutting ceremonies at noon Tuesday and 5 p.m. Wednesday.
The GLBT Resource Center was developed by RRCC’s Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) with funding from the college administration and student government. It is located in the west wing of the RRCC’s Lakewood campus, in Room 1654. It will be staffed by student and employee volunteers Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
