The Orpheum Theatre lights up every year for an annual event that draws guests from around the world. With Kathy Griffin as the opening host for the sixth year, Aid For AIDS’ Best in Drag Show, held on Oct. 19, began on a funny note.
Within the halls of the elegant venue, located on Broadway in downtown Los Angeles, colorful makeup, stilettos and wigs galore crammed the sold out landmark theatre for the three-hour comedic fundraiser where excess is celebrated. And as the 31st of October is drawing near, by the look of the attendees, it seemed as though Halloween had arrived early.
