A transgender woman has had her probation revoked this week and was sentenced to two years in state prison after stabbing two men last fall. Grace Lawrence, whose actions supporters say were influenced by attacks she’s endured in the past – including having hot battery acid poured on her face and body – said she feared for her life during the most recent incident.
Lawrence’s attorney, Deputy Public Defender Sujung Kim, said with credit for time served and good behavior, Lawrence would likely serve about two and a half months.
