November is Transgender Awareness Month, and Portland nonprofit TransActive Gender Center is marking the occasion with the launch of The Super Hero Challenge.
The challenge is an effort to raise awareness around the power of supporting transgender youth. “TransActive Gender Center is dedicated to sharing with the world that transgender youth who receive support and affirmation and are afforded trans-affirmative care early on grow up having remarkably positive outcomes when compared to those who do not,” says Client Services Program Manager Kate Kauffman.
