Las Vegas – “TRANTASIA,” the feature film documentary filmed during “The World’s Most Beautiful Transexual Pageant” has its highly anticipated World Television Premiere on SHOWTIME Network at 9:30 p.m. this Thursday, Valentine’s Day.
Tragically Jahna Steele who was the co-host of the documentary for the pageant and featured in “TRANTASIA” for the SHOWTIME special passed away on Jan. 24 and services were conducted for her on Monday, Feb. 11.
“Trantasia” was filmed at the Riviera Hotel & Casino during “The World’s Most Beautiful Transexual Pageant.” The contestants were recently featured on “The Tyra Banks Show,” “Entertainment Tonight” and “The Insider.” TRANTASIA is a behind the scenes look at the first-ever “World’s Most Beautiful Transsexual Pageant.” Hosted by one of the world’s most famous transgender persons, Jahna Steele, (as two time winner of Las Vegas’ Most Beautiful Showgirl was embroiled in one of Las Vegas’ most famous sex-scandals in 1992). The pageant was held to cast for the first ever North American All Transsexual Stage Revue.
Executive Producer Chris Smith says, “`TRANTASIA’ is a triumph of the human spirit and ultimately reveals human truths that everyone can relate to… black or white, gay or straight, Republican or Democrat.”
