A transvestite jumped to his death in the Thames after his family couldn?t accept his lifestyle, according to a coroner?s report.

Nahi Mudwai?s body was found at Mill Bank in February after reports of a ?female? running along the Embankment throwing away clothes and jumping into the water.

Westminster coroner Dr Paul Knapman said Mr Mudwai, 25, from Earl?s Court who wanted to live as a woman, had family difficulties.

He recorded a verdict of misadventure, stating he was not certain Mr Mudwai, a gay escort, had actually meant to kill himself.
