We are pleased to announce that we have completely updated our Postal Code database to increase the accuracy of your online searching and matching! Current Members in the United States will notice its far more accurate than it was!
This new data also includes telephone Area Codes! Not only that, but we now have a database of Canadian Postal Codes and Area Codes as well, so that our friends to the north can find matches just as easily as their American counterparts!
When a member in the United States or Canada enters their location into their profile, they have the option of entering their Postal Code. This automatically specifies their City, State or Province, Country and Area Code. When you logon to your account and access the People Directory, you have the option of sorting the database by Area Code, and of course, distance! You’d be amazed who you can find, right in your own backyard. Additionally, members with this feature enabled, will find that other members are now shown with distance from them right on their profile!
How to Configure
1. Logon to your account.
2. From the main account page, click on “My Profile”.
3. From the “My Profile” page, click on “My Location”.
4. Just click on the “Reset” link. You will be presented with the option of entering your Postal Code. (Canadian members should remember that pesky space in the middle!)
5. Click on “Save Changes” and you are done. You might want to click on “My Location” to make sure the system correctly determined your information.
Now, whenever you logon, you can sort the People Directory for people in your State, Area Code, or by how far away they are from you! It is our mission to make it as easy as possible to find the people you are looking for. Wether they are lovers, support or just for friends!
Thanks again for being a part of our adventure, and for helping make URNotAlone the Number One Transgendered Personals Directory on the Internet!
p.s. To our European members, we are looking for the same type of functionality for Europe and the United Kingdom. If you know of any resource that is available that associates Postal Codes, with their latitude and longitude, we would be eternally grateful! 🙂
