With the Bank Hotel re-opening recently after a refurbishment and re-establishing its girls? night on Wednesdays, the manager of The Sly Fox in Enmore decided to change the format of its Kingki Kingdom event the same night. Traditionally a women?s evening, Kingki Kingdom was famous for its late-night drag king shows, but now the pub is opening its doors and stage to everyone, offering up a range of queer performers.

Hosted by Sex Intents and Glita Supernova from Gurlesque each week, Queer Central showcases three to four acts in a 20-minute batch, twice a night at 10.30pm and 11.30pm (a 9.30pm slot may also be on the cards). ?Queer Central is a natural evolution,? explains bar manager at The Sly Fox, Zac Bridges. ?There?s lots of queer performers out there, not just drag kings so we want to give them all a go.?
