Life is anything but a drag for Nea Marshall Kudi. The Minneapolis man is one of nine drag queens featured on the new reality TV show “RuPaul’s Drag Race” (9 p.m. Monday; Logo network), hosted by none other than ’90s drag superstar RuPaul. Under the stage moniker Bebe Zahara Benet, Kudi, who has lived in the Twin Cities for six years, performs regularly at the Gay ’90s and various other venues in and out of state.
Kudi had toyed with the idea of trying out for the show last year, but didn’t take the leap until RuPaul encouraged him to apply after catching a Bebe show.
