At last count, 63 glittering entertainers are ready to shine in the spotlight at the third annual Wigarama charity night of drag shows in Auckland’s Family bar.
“We’re going to have to stop adding performers,” says drag hostess Miss Ribena. “But it’s incredible how many people have put their hand up to support the cause.”
The event, planned for Thursday 24 April – the night before ANZAC Day – will again be a fundraiser for the Cartier Bereavement Charitable Trust, and organisation which helps to fund funerals for people who have died of an AIDS-related illness.
