This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Transgender Day of Remembrance and an event will take place in Oakland on Sunday, November 16 at 5 p.m. in Niles Hall in Preservation Park, 1233 Preservation Park Way. The event is free and open to the public.
As in previous years, the Tri-City Health Center’s TransVision program is organizing the event, which will feature speakers and performances, including the Transcendence Gospel Choir, said coordinator Tiffany Woods.
